Ranchi, Jharkhand: The two-day 12th District Taekwondo Championship was inaugurated at Sharda Global School with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, marking the beginning of an exciting sporting event aimed at promoting discipline, confidence, and sportsmanship among young athletes.

The event was graced by Special Branch DIG Shri Manoj Ratna Chothe as the Chief Guest and Sister Tiny Thomas of Carmel School, Brambe, as the Guest of Honour. Their presence added significance to the occasion and served as a source of inspiration for the participating athletes.
Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Banka, State Treasurer of BJP Jharkhand, said that sports play a crucial role in shaping the character of young people by instilling values such as discipline, determination, teamwork, and self-confidence. He noted that competitions like these provide a valuable platform for athletes to showcase their talent and pursue excellence.
“The participation of 970 athletes is a testament to the dedication and sporting spirit of Jharkhand’s youth. It is encouraging to see young players continuously striving to achieve new milestones in sports.
